LA PODEROSA 1550 AM RADIO EVERY THURSDAY AT 7 PM !! |

HABLANDO DE NEGOCIOS !!! is the name of the program that the federation of Chambers of Commerce of the DR-CAFTA area is running every thursday at 7 PM on La Poderosa 1550 AM Radio. The program will promote the chambers and their members businesses and activities and will also try to analyze, opine and inform about any laws, treaties or activities that incide on the commercial interchange between our members or our countries of origin. Alejandro Reyes president of the Federation and the Nicaraguan Chamber, Gerardo Borbon of the Costa Rican Chamber, Enrique Hirlemann of Salcham and the moderator Pedro Garcia of the Dominican Republic Chamber wil bring guests to help with the creation of new Latin enterprises and the development of the existent ones by informing on ways to get loans and get education on the different aspects of an enterprise. "A TASTE OF EL SALVADOR" A REAL ALL AROUND SUCCESS !!!!

Miami August, 2007 The idea was around for some time, SalCham started talking with FFTA in order to make a two way (exporters-importers) event, Ralph gave us some great ideas but decided not to go alone with us. We started to put together a "TASTE OF EL SALVADOR" to include Arts, Music and food but honoring SalCham's main objective, Business promotion by concentrating mainly on setting up 16 Salvadorans food factories and 40 artists to sell their products in Florida. For this SalCham requested the help of USAID-EXPRO in El Salvador. We selected the place at Doral Park Country Club to be the base. Lucero and Armando Molina received our guests at the airport and took them next day to check the packagings and prices of the competition if any to local supermarkets duriing all monday and 50 paintings were placed to be exhibited all around the club. Tuesday we received over 74 representatives of Florida businesses to meet the factory reps at Doral on an all day business appoitments event. Wednesday at noon Oscar Vides, Jose Vasquez and Andres Garcia prepared the exquisit Salvadoran dishes for all our visitors and that night we received nearly 200 persons to close the event exchanging business cards with other DR CAFTA area chambers members and listening to Salvadoran Music with Rocio Caceres and the big ending with our very own Alvaro Torres and his music that included a big surprise of a non rehersed duet with Rocio Caceres. We still don't have the business numbers as it can be expected but we know that the more advanced business deals at this moment may exceed the 6 million dollars a year of export increases from El Salvador to Florida with just this one event !!!.
